21 Things for 21 Days of Quarantine



Hey guys,

          It was just a day before yesterday that the complete nation was locked down by our government. And initially, I was pretty excited about finally being at home and sleep all day long. And trust me I did sleep for a complete day and sat whole night on the windows of my room to accompany the owls hooting. And I pretty much feel bored right now and I have finally figured out 21 different activities for 21 days. And I think I should definitely share them with you!!!

So let’s start,

      1)      Look around yourself

In this hectic world and timings, we hardly get any time to look around us and notice things. But make sure you don’t step out of your house. You can choose to give a proper look to things around and notice how beautifully your mother has decorated the complete house. Yes! I too for the first time noticed that there was a vase at the corner of my table which has been there since I don’t even remember. And there may be many things around you which have gone unnoticed and finally, you can have a proper look at them and don’t forget to appreciate them.

      2)      Meditate


This is one of the best ways to calm yourself. You could simply sit and meditate whenever you want after all location is not an issue as of now. It is a known fact that the brain works the most when your brain is in the most peaceful state. In fact, it increases the productivity of a person and also is good for health. It also calms down the human state of mind and thus helping you feel good about everything.

      3)      Read


This is one of the best activities one could do while staying indoors. It would be great to read different kinds of storybooks or novels and if you are an avid reader you could also go for classics. In today’s world, there are so many options if you really want to read. For example Amazon Kindle and in fact today we also have the facility of hearing stories that are written in the books in case you prefer to hear stories, for example, Amazon Audible.

      4)      Write


This is one of my favorite time passes and one of the best ways to express yourself. Most of the people like sharing about what went through the day or what exactly they are going through. But they prefer staying mum because not everyone is good with words. Also writing is an art and you never know when you could discover the artist with what seems a boring thing to do.

      5)      Paint


          Painting is one of the best therapies to lash out your frustration in case you are too tired of controlling it. Also, you could take a walk back to your memory lane by simply filling colors in already drawn pictures. And in case if you are wondering where you could find a book filled with empty drawings, you could always draw a simple flower and color it on your own. And trust me no one will judge you after all it is something you are doing for yourself.

      6)      Watch movies & series


Yay! This is one of the best times of the day when I finally get to sit in front of the television with my eyes all stuck on to the screen until my mother doesn’t shout to shut it down. Of course, you could always simply pick a movie and wait till the end or surf onto different channels until you don’t get bored. And these days we all have Netflix so you can also find something you had thought of to watch later and then forgot it all.

      7)      Play indoors


This is one of the foremost options you could go for in case you are not a fan of social media. You could always bring that rotten carrom board out of the storeroom and clean it with a cloth. And don’t forget to sprinkle the talcum powder to maintain the slippery surface. You could play so many games like carrom, chess or even the “chidiya ude” game which has been the most famous in the history of games when it comes to indoors. And if you are the modern-day person you could also go for stone, paper n scissors or bomb, weapon n terrorist depending on the company you have.

      8)      Close the doors and dance like Jackson


Well, I am not exactly telling you to dance that way, after all, I am not at all a good dancer and to be true you don’t need to be good at it, after all, you are doing it for yourself. You could simply close the door of your room, put on headphones to full volume and dance till you don’t get drained of energy. And this isn’t just a time pass but will also help you to increase your metabolism rate.

      9)      Spend time with your family


This is one of the best things you could do in these 21days after all who knows when one will get times like this to simply stay at home with only loved ones. It must have been years after all since we last talked to our parents and our siblings or even our husband- wives only to appreciate them and tell them how much they mean to us. In case you are staying far away, you could also video call them in any manner or just call them to talk for long times and don’t forget that you aren’t charged minutes anymore!

      10)   Live your life

Last but not least – live your life. So, what if you are trapped in your houses for the next 21 days. Utilize them to do something productive.  Make a wish-list where you would want to go when all this ends or whom you want to meet or what you want to do. Think about where you want to reach in your life as a successful person and if you are already successful then think about what you want to give to your family. Rethink your life, don’t get bored instead plan the way you want your life to be.


And in case if you have already done all the above then I do have a list that you could do,


     11)   Organize your wardrobe

     12)   Listen to music

     13)   Exercise

     14)   Call to all those whom you haven’t called since ages

     15)   Cook something good to your tongue

     16)   Create something new

     17)   Sleep for a complete day

     18)   Take a walk through your memory lane

     19)   Gardening

     20)   Stay happy

     21)   Stay safe


           So, here are the things you could do during these 21 days and there may be many more. But it is only up to you how you want to spend your next 21 days. Either gloat about it or instead, you could utilize it to clear your head. In the end, no amount of ideas could suggest how to stay happy and safe, because your willpower is all that matters.

How were those day as a kid, what fun we had that time, the place one like most as a kid let it be your grandma's home any destination.
